What is the Proflex tape method?
The Proflex tape hair extension method uses sections of small clear tape to attach the wefts of extension hair to your natural hair. Your natural hair is sectioned into rows and the proflex tape and wefts of extension hair is cut to the sizes required, then the proflex tape is folded over the weft of extension hair and placed firmly to the sectioned area of natural hair, a small layer of natural hair is then taken from above and placed over the proflex tape thus sandwiching in the weft of extension hair. This is one of the kindest and comfortable hair extension methods on the market as there is absolutely no strain put upon the natural hair. Although the tape provides a strong hold, hardly any adhesive fuses with the natural hair. It is also one of the most undetectable methods as seen in the picture above on the right. Because of the sandwiching effect I perform even when the wind blows you cannot tell you have extensions in.
The proflex tape hair extension method lasts around 2-3 months with no maintenance required, the tape does not break down and there is no shedding as a machine sewn weft of extension hair is used. With this method you can use the hair again and again to the full life of the extension hair.
This is one of the easiest extension methods to take down, all you do is soak the tape in something oil based or a rich conditioner and slightly pull upon the extension hair until it comes away from the natural hair, you then pull the tape from the extension hair, wash the hair thoroughly and it is then ready to be used again.
The proflex tape hair extension method take up to 1 hour to apply.
